I was recently inspired to write about the things I am thankful for daily, even if I may not have some of those things. It was my big sister who has her own blog that inspired this list, and although many may not even see my blog I feel like its important to take a moment to recognize those things. Here i go...
Onesies for babies. They keep everything tucked in nicely, and they make your child look neat and taken care of. I keep my kids in onesies till they are potty trained. :)
Dishwashers. You don't know what you got til its gone. The dishwasher we have currently doesn't clean the dishes, all it really does is rinse the dishes. I miss the dishwasher at my mom's house. :)
40 min Dryers. Also, another thing I miss. Drying clothes in the dryer for nearly two hours is a bit excessive. :)
Laughter. I love to laugh, and more than anything I love to hear my husband and children laugh.
Siblings. With both sides of my family, including in laws I have 25 siblings. It's always so nice to know I always have someone to talk to. Although I wish I talk to some a little more. :(
Food. Some days my whole day revolves around it, when, where, and what we are going to eat. ;) But I'm so grateful to have it!
Music. Rob and I may not play any kind of instrument, but we do enjoy good music. Our children already have a great appreciation for music, they love to dance and sing ALL THE TIME.
Car. We traded in one of our cars to get a family car, then loaned out the other car to a family member. Having one car is a challenge but we are grateful to have a least one. Rob is a good sport about being picked up for work every day.
Housing. Yes it's true we have moved four times in four years of marriage, and we are going to move again this summer (not by choice). But I'm always thankful an opportunity has come up for us to rent a place for a bit.
Phones. Although my phone rings maybe only two or three times a day, I am thankful I always have a way to reach and be reached.
Examples. My parents are the biggest great examples in my life, and my sisters are a close second. Most the time they may not know it, but I look up to them in so many ways. I am constantly looking at their lives to draw from their experiences to help me in my own life. I don't know where I would be without them.
I can go on and on all day about more but I should end there. I have so many things I am thankful for and sometimes take for granted. Life isn't perfect (believe me) but I'm so grateful to live it!

Oh, I love you Erica. I miss you and your beautiful children. You know, we grow from challenges. And you have everything around you that is the most important. :) Everything else is temporal. Keep smiling.
ReplyDeleteWell the good thing about blogging is you can turn all of this into a scrapbook. That is one of the reasons I blog. It is a great thing to always write down what your thankful for it helps you through those hard times.
